Beau Landon Kelly

Obviously by my lack of recent posts, Beau Landon is here! He is perfect in every way and we are so thrilled that we've finally met him! (and I am soooooo glad to NOT be pregnant anymore!) ;)

He was born June 28 at 2:28 p.m. and was 8 lbs, 13 oz & 21 inches long!

The labor & delivery was pretty uneventful & smooth. (PTL!) The only minor hiccup was the anesthesiologist came in to give me my epidural, then suddenly had to leave. I got a little upset because I was thinking, "RELIEF is here!" then..JUST KIDDING! But once I just started focusing and breathing some more (and a little bit of "happy juice" in my IV line helped too!) I was better. Then shortly after that, got the epidural, progressed more and started pushing! One hour later, our sweet angel boy was here!

Proud Big Brother!

We had to stay an extra night because his bili rubin level was too high. So he had to sleep on the bili bed and he HATED it! As long as he was wrapped up in a blanket, he slept great, but on the bili bed he couldn't be because the light had to get to his skin. It was the worst night of sleep of my life! Thankfully Nelda stayed that night and Matt was able to be at home with Owen and get good rest. I will forever be grateful to Nelda for that night! She was such a huge help just being there so I wasn't doing that alone. Sleep deprivation + screaming baby + crazy hormones = frazzled momma! But thankfully the bed helped and we were able to go home on Sunday!

This hospital business is for the birds! Let's get outta here!

Finally home! Both boys with their GiGi & Nonna

Introducing:

We are so thankful to God for a smooth delivery of another healthy, precious baby boy!

30 Weeks!

WOW! I feel like time has flown by because I am already 30 weeks! I've felt great from 2nd trimester until now. But now, I'm starting to be really "over" being pregnant. Ha! Getting up is a process, bending over is a process, rolling over is a process, standing on one leg to put my pants on is a process...I could go on!

But I know time will keep flying and our sweet boy will be here soon! I just do NOT know how I am going to cram another 8-10 weeks of baby into this body!

LTC & Easter 2013

For the past few years, Matt and I have helped coordinate an event at LTC (Leadership Training for Christ.) This year was no different! It is a weekend that we look forward to every year. It is just a great time with our church family, and then we wrap it up with an AWESOME church service with 3,000+ people on Easter Sunday.

Owen has gone with us every year and it is fun to see him really enjoying it now. As a baby, he just strolled along with whoever would carry him or push him in the stroller. Now he is big enough to walk all over and he really enjoys watching the puppet shows, dramas and even the choruses.

Our first night in Dallas. We were getting ready to get out of the car to
go eat at Pappadeaux. SOO yummy. We were just waiting a few minutes
 because we got there early.

We made it to the hotel and got to hang out with
the Stones for a little bit before going to sleep.

Owen feeding the fish during one of our breaks to go outside.
The Anatole has a BEAUTIFUL lawn area with a track and a pond.

After the fish would come up to the surface to eat,
Owen would do his hand like this and say, "YESS!" He spent Friday evening with
Mama Gail & Papa Ray, so Ray taught him this little gesture. :)

The night time festivities: spinning each other around in the "spinny chair!"

Saturday night we had a dinner from Babe's catered for our entire group. The kids received their medals and we celebrated the graduating seniors. We have such a large group that attends, but it still feels like a big family!

Sleep over! Logan, Ethan & Owen slept in a murphy bed.
Owen ended up back with us around 2 a.m. :)

Sunday morning, we woke Owen up and showed him his Easter basket that had a coloring book, a movie and some candy. He smiled, but just laid there. We knew something couldn't be right. Then he said, "Mommy, I'm sick." So I felt him and sure enough he was burning up. So, although Matt & I were already dressed, we packed everything up & headed home. So we missed the awesome service. BUT, this was a time I'll never forget because we had our own service in the car! I read some scripture, Owen "led" singing and Matt talked about Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, and that He arose. So, although it was not the typical "Easter Service," it was so special and sweet that it will probably be my most favorite Easter service ever.

Here we are in the car...Matt doesn't look thrilled because we were driving through a TERRIBLE storm with lightening all around us and the rain was so bad and so hard to see through that several cars were slowing WAY down and putting their hazards on. It was actually really scary! We were so thankful to make it home safely.

Once we got home, Owen took some meds & laid down.
But not before a super quick indoor egg hunt!

You can't tell by this pic that the kid had fever!

After a morning nap, Owen's fever broke (so odd that it was just a short thing!) and we got up & ready and headed to Poppa & Nonna's for lunch & an egg hunt. It was fun and lunch was delicious as usual!

Searching for his eggs! He was supposed to find all the purple ones.

Each kid had 31 eggs. Daddy helped Owen count them
out so he could be sure all of his were found.

Ryder & Owen found all their eggs quickly!

The WHOLE family for a group picture! Next year our little Beau boy will be in the pic and get to "hunt" eggs! :)

25 Weeks!

Just truckin' along! 25 weeks and still feeling great. Beau boy is doing LOTS of moving & kicking. I can really feel him when sitting still at my desk and laying down at night. I love it!

23 Weeks

I am 23 weeks along & still feeling great! Matt & Owen both have felt Beau kick/move so that has been fun!

Owen is still really into the pregnancy and is usually very careful about accidentally hitting or running into my tummy. I think he will be a GREAT big brother! It was not our plan to have them so far apart, but now I am really enjoying that Owen is a bit older and can somewhat understand what is going on. He asks lots of questions and really seems to get it. I have showed him pictures from Babycenter that shows the baby in a mommy's tummy (not any graphic ones, of course!) and I think that helps him visualize it better. I'm feeling great but already ready for this summer to hurry so we can meet our boy!

23 weeks! I am a little nervous that this "bump"
is going to get 17 weeks worth bigger! ;)

Halfway There!

Woo-hoo! I am 20 weeks along and feeling great! Feeling rather large, but, that just goes with the territory! ;)

I'm feeling my little Beau boy move around and kick here & there. The first few times I felt it I was kind of startled! I had forgotten what those little movements felt like. At first he was just moving right before lunch and when I would lay down to go to sleep. Now I am starting to feel more movements throughout the day. I love it!

This is the best time of pregnancy, in my opinion. I am still feeling good, but not huge, hot & miserable yet! So far I have gained 11 lbs. from my very first visit. So I feel good about that, but I read the other day I can expect to gain a pound a week from here on out. I'm hoping not, but we'll see! I'm also trying to get in some exercise here & there, but not being as consistent as I'd like. I am just trying not to stress too much about that part and just enjoy this chapter.

Here is my 20 week pic!

Growing Boy!

When I was 13w5d we found out that our little baby is a BOY! We went to a place and paid to find out early. I just wanted to know soon so we could get his room done early while I was still (relatively) small and feeling like decorating. This summer before he will be born will be full of birthdays and the hot heat (ha!), so I just wanted to get it marked off the list.

So this past week, I went to my actual doctor for my 19 week sonogram which showed he is STILL a boy! I have to say I was a tad nervous that since we found out so early, there might be a chance that the original sono tech was wrong. But she wasn't! So we are still having our little Beau Landon!

One new thing since the last pregnancy- 3D ultrasounds! Look at his little face!
He is not quite done forming so his face will still change some,
but I do think he already has his Daddy's full lips! :)

Here are my first belly shots!
I started showing MUCH sooner with Beau than I did with Owen.

Thanks to Pinterest for the cute idea for belly pics. :)
