Holidays are here!

We had our Christmas card pictures taken last week by my sis-in-law, Bekah! She took them for us then I edited them. I think she did a great job!

Wishing you peace, love & joy!

Framing Started!

Framing on our house was started right after Thanksgiving! It is fun to walk through and actually see where each room will be.

First phase of framing...(from the street.)

Matt standing in the office..which is "his" and will be decorated
with all his "man room" items, like deer heads, sports memorabilia, etc.

One of my biggest complaints about our current house is the lack of closet space. Our house we are in now was built in 1970 and the closets are tiny. So here I am in our master closet! I can't even touch the walls! haha! Our closet is 'L' shaped, so Matt has a side & I have a side. Its perfect!

Owen in his room!

Here is the framing once some of the roof part was added. The bonus room
above the garage is still not framed. Should be added soon!

Next up is more framing, siding & carpentry!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great Thanksgiving holiday this year with both sides of our family! We ate lunch on Thursday at Nonna & Poppa's house with the Kelly, Stegall & Regian clans! There was a TON of us & it was nice to catch up with everyone.

Nonna & Poppa are the BEST hosts for any kind of party! Because there were so many of us, we ate in the gym...look how pretty the tables were!

Daddy & Owen

As you can see by the crumbs on his face,
he LOVED our Thanksgiving lunch!

Owen with his sweet cousin, Cade! We missed
all the other little Kelly boys! Can't wait for Christmas!

After lunch, Matt headed to the deer lease and Owen & I headed to Houston! Owen slept pretty much the whole way there...he hadn't had a nap yet and had just eaten ALL that yummy food..I woulda slept, too, if I could have! :)

He woke up the last hour and sang
Christmas songs with me! :)

Caden & Logan spent the night at GiGi & PaPaw's
so Owen could have someone to play with! We had a fun sleep over!
They are picking out what toys they want GiGi to buy. :)

Mom & I doing our Black Friday thing! Got some great deals!

Saturday night, Matt, Jen & I took the boys to see
Arthur Christmas. SUCH a cute movie! They all loved it..and even we did!

Then we helped GiGi get her tree set up & decorated!

Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the holiday season!

Slab Day!

We got a slab! Woohoo! I left work at lunch to pick up Owen & meet Matt at the site so we could put our handprints in our new slab. It is so exciting to see some physical progress!

Yes, I took a picture of the concrete truck. :)

They cannot get the concrete trucks up near the forms, so they
back them up to this pump truck & they can use the hose to put the concrete
where they want it.

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living.
But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Here is Owen standing in his "room" on our slab!
Next up: framing! :)

Plumbing!

Who ever thought I would be so excited about a plumber??! Well, they came yesterday!

November 9, 2011

The pipes sticking up to the far left is the master bathroom plumbing
and the 3rd bathroom that is in the hall by the office.

The ones closest to me to the left are where the laundry room
will be and the ones to the right will be the hall bath on the 'kids' side'.
The pipes further back are for the kitchen.

Next up: a slab!

Selections!

We have started to pick out selections for the house! So far, we've done interior lighting, interior plumbing, doors & windows & garage door. We've talked about siding color & trim, but haven't nailed it down yet. Here's some pictures of what we have so far!

Flooring
(This will be in the entry, dining room, living room, hallways & office. We are still working on carpet for the bedrooms & tile for the kitchen, bath & laundry room)

Just a standard deep sink in the utility room
The kitchen sink will actually be a black-ish color.

Garage Door

Lighting over breakfast nook table

Lighting over dining room table

Lighting in entry way (pretty much same as breakfast nook, just smaller/not as long)

Bathroom Fixtures(some will have 4 instead of just 2)
All of our finishes are oil rubbed bronze(some of these pics I couldn't find the right finish. Like the bathroom fixture above is a bit darker than what is pictured). It has been SO fun & exciting! Matt and I have agreed on everything...I'm so lucky because he really is not picky. Can't wait for whatever is next! :)

We have forms!

We can finally see some physical progress on our house! We've had a few meetings with the builder & signed off on the final draft...so things are starting to move forward. They did the dirt work first, then started on the forms. The top of the wood you see is where the slab will be.

Forms! Woohoo!
Should have a slab some time within a week...

Halloween!

I LOVE Fall. The weather & the smells always take me back to mine & Matt's engagement period leading up to our wedding that was in December. It just makes me excited! And now that we have Owen, it is even more fun to do all the kid stuff that goes along with Fall.

Here's our jack o lantern we (I) carved!

We went to a fun Fall Festival at Parrot Park in Lindale that I didn't get any pics of, but we had a good time with the Albrittons, Carnathans & Englishes.

The next night we went to our Fall Festival at church! It was tons of fun! Owen really loved all the games. He said his favorite game was the duck pond! :)

Ring Toss

Here are all of the kiddos! Luke, David, Reed, Avery, Aubrey, Owen & Davis

Owen was a cowboy this year for Halloween. He wore it to St. Luke's one day, West Erwin Playschool one day, the Fall Festival at our church AND trick or treating! So I'd say we've gotten our money's worth out of that cowboy outfit! :)

Here he is showing it off! :)

Halloween was on a Monday night & we trick or treated in the Highlands Subdivision with the Carnathans, Englishes, Wallaces & Smiths.

Look at all the bOyS!!

He said "Chick uhr Trweeeeeat!"

Mommy the clown, Owen the Cowboy, Daddy the 'Bubba!'

Look at all my candy!
We had a great Halloween with family & friends! When we got in the car to head home, Owen exclaimed, "Dat was FUN!" Mission accomplished. :)
