Down 21 pounds!

Still a ways to go but slowly I am getting there! I notice the biggest difference in my face, arms & tummy. I still want to see more flatness in the tummy & a little less mass in the underarms! ha! BUT, as a good friend told me, "stop focusing on what needs to be improved and be proud of how far you've come!" So, I am taking her advice!

I am proud that I have gotten up (almost) every week day morning for the past 3 months at 4:35 a.m. to work out. I'm proud that I have made a habit of eating more fruits, veggies, lean meats and "good" starches. I'm proud that I drink a lot of water!

So, although I still have 39 lbs to go to get to my ultimate goal of 60 pounds, I am SO excited to be seeing results!

July 4th!

We had a GREAT 4th of July! I wish I could just keep repeating that day over & over. We started off the morning with coffee in our PJs. Then, Matt & I got busy cleaning the house. We normally clean on the weekends and with being out of town a lot lately, our house has suffered MAJORLY! But, we got it done & its nice & clean...for now. ;)

After that we headed to the lake with Michael & Bekah, the kids & our parents. I only took one picture and it was of sweet Mikah Ann! She was CHILLAXIN' on the pontoon!! Passed smooth out. Sweet girl!

After the boat ride, we headed to Matt's parents house for BBQ and swimming. I took no pics there. Oops! But we had fun & ate great! Then we headed to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Whitehouse for their firework show. It was AMAZING! It was so close & bright, mom had to put her sunglasses on! It was insane! But we had a great time & Owen LOVED the fireworks. It was fun to "see" it through his eyes.

Enjoying the 4th with ALL the grandparents!

My sweet family!

He kept saying, "WHOA!!!"

In a completely unrelated topic, I got a new car! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my minivan. I know...that sounds crazy. But I really did. BUT- I really needed some type of vehicle that gets great gas mileage. I pretty much just drove the van back & forth to work. So, we downsized to a car & I absolutely LOVE it! Very fun to drive! We got it last weekend while in Houston for Logan's bday party. It is a Hyundai Elantra.

Gas mileage I got the other day on my way home from work...36.2! Woo hoo! My van only got 17 mpg.

First fill up! Just under 35 bucks. My van filled up for about $65. So this was cool, too!

Looking forward to enjoying the rest of the summer...may have to take a weekend trip to Galveston now that it won't cost us a fortune to drive down there!! :)
