Insulation/Sheetrock

The insulation has been finished & most of the drywall is hung! They are finishing drywall today & should start texturing. Yesterday we got to see the 3D renderings of what all the cabinets in the kitchen, bathrooms & laundry room will look like. I loved them! One change I made in the kitchen is instead of a big vented hood, I decided to go with one with cabinets up above for more storage. The bottom piece is still decorative, but I think I decided to choose function over form. :) Next after texturing will be cabinets & trim. Our scheduled final walk through is March 2. It looks like it could possibly finish on track! We'll see...

Here is Owen's room fully sheet rocked!

Owen is in one of his "cubbies" in the play room. These will be great places
to store big baskets of toys or bean bags. Our builder said we should paint the back
of it to look like a soccer field and paint bleachers with people then hang a net in it so Owen can kick soccer balls into it...we'll see! :) Cute idea, though!

Matt's office has 3 exterior walls, so 3 out of 4 have the
foam insulation. It was crazy how muffled it sounded to walk in there & talk.
It was like your voice just stopped right outside of your mouth. So, that much
insulation will help this high ceilinged room stay warm/cool.
